The National Insurance would like to inform the public that any contributor who meeets all of the following conditions:

1. attained the age of 61 years during the year 2005
2. retired from gainful employment in 2005
3. meets the contribution condition of (144 months)

The current retirement age is 62 years but the NIC is granting special concession to persons who attained 61 last year.

Applications must be made before March 31, 2006.

The new conditions will apply to any applications made after March 31, 2006
